Environmental effects of aviation

Between 1940 and 2018, aviation CO2 emissions grew from 0.7% to 2.65% of all emissions. Aircraft engines produce gases, noise, and particulates from fossil fuel combustion, raising environmental concerns over their global effects and their effects on local air quality.
