Cultural appropriation
Cultural appropriation is a concept dealing with the adoption of the elements of a minority culture by members of the dominant culture. It is distinguished from equal cultural exchange due to an imbalance of power, often as a byproduct of colonialism and oppression. Particularly in the 21st century, cultural appropriation is often portrayed as harmful in contemporary cultures, and is claimed to be a violation of the collective intellectual property rights of the originating, minority cultures, notably indigenous cultures and those living under colonial rule. Often unavoidable when multiple cultures come together, cultural appropriation can include using other cultures' cultural and religious traditions, fashion, symbols, language, and songs.

Alicia Augello Cook (born January 25, 1981), known professionally as Alicia Keys, is an American singer-songwriter. A classically-trained pianist, Keys was composing songs by age 12. James Blake Litherland (born 26 September 1988) is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer from London. He first received recognition in 2010 for a trio of EPs, and the following year his self-titled debut album was released to critical praise. Pedro AlmodĂłvar Caballero (born 25 September 1949), credited professionally as Pedro AlmodĂłvar, is a Spanish filmmaker, director, screenwriter, producer, and former actor. He came to prominence as a director and screenwriter during La Movida Madrileña, a cultural renaissance that followed the death of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco. His first few films characterised the sense of sexual and political freedom of the period. In 1986, he established his own film production company, El Deseo, with his younger brother AgustĂn AlmodĂłvar, responsible for producing all of his films since Law of Desire (1987).

Francisco Gustavo Sánchez GĂłmez (21 December 194725 February 2014), known as Paco de LucĂa, was a Spanish virtuoso flamenco guitarist, composer and producer. A leading proponent of the new flamenco style, he helped legitimize flamenco among the establishment in Spain, and was one of the first flamenco guitarists to cross over successfully into other genres of music such as classical and jazz. Richard Chapman and Eric Clapton, authors of Guitar: Music, History, Players, describe de LucĂa as a "titanic figure in the world of flamenco guitar", and Dennis Koster, author of Guitar Atlas, Flamenco, has referred to de LucĂa as "one of history's greatest guitarists".

MarĂa Dolores Flores Ruiz (21 January 1923 – 16 May 1995) better known as Lola Flores was a Spanish singer, dancer, actress. She was born at number 45, Sol Street, in the “barrio de San Miguel”, quarter of Jerez de la Frontera. Lola Flores was the eldest of three children, born to Pedro Flores Pinto (1897-1973) from La Palma del Condado (Huelva) and Rosario Ruiz Rodriguez from SanlĂşcar de Barrameda (Cádiz). Lola Flores was not a gypsy, although her maternal grandfather, Manuel, who was a street vendor was half-gypsy, and her husband Antonio González el PescaĂlla, a gypsy guitarist from Barcelona.
